 Lol.  Ever seen the complaints about whitespace-damaged patches on
lkml ?  And, as you say, Makefiles require them.

 The point is that it *does* work in rxvt-unicode.  I'm willing to
accept that the wm is responsible (I've never had real reason to
consider *why* it worked).
