Thanks for the clarification.
Let's see if I get this yet.
I use VLC. VLC needs ffmpeg. If I want the gst plugins for ffmpeg, I'll need to
install gst-ffmpeg which needs gstreamer-0.10 and associated plugins.
If I want to upgrade to gnome-3.6 and keep VLC, I'll need both the 0.10 and the
1.0 versions of gstreamer and the plugins.
Is that correct?
