Coincidentally, I've just been building Harfbuzz/Freetype today on a long war round to getting my frame buffer and console sorted (which I still haven't). I don't know if this is relevant but IMO the instructions in the book could be misconstrued. It says to reinstall, rather than rebuild, Freetype after Harfbuzz is built and installed. Richard
