DJ, I have to take exception to that - if people want to build
somewhat safe packages (e.g. browsers, openssl) they *need* to get
the versions from the development book.
Ian - we've added libffi-3.2.1, Python-3.6.3, and also Ninja-1.8.2
and Meson-0.43.0 to the development book. The latter two are needed
for recent versions of glib2 etc.
