As Bruce mentioned, this is GMP. It unconditionally will use features
from the CPU that is present at build time unless you use config.fsf. If
those same features are not available in the downstream consumer, you
get invalid instructions because they are invalid. Follow the note on
the page, and for only that one package, and you'll likely be ok.
First of all, thank you very much for the clear explanations. However, I
cannot rebuild my GMP on the laptop, as it is impossible to configure it:
in a tty terminal it does not work at all and in a black terminal I get
hundreds of messages:
traps: expr[nnn] trap: invalid opcode ip= ....error in libgmp.s0
it seems, that I have to make the reconfiguration and the rebuild on the
original PC and port again to the laptop, then I could continue building
also from the laptop ? My problem is, that I will not have access to the
PC during February. Is there not a way to force the building of GMP on the
laptop ? Anyway, I am learning a lot !
Try just re-building gmp and copying /usr/lib/libgmpxx.so.4.5.2 and
/usr/lib/libgmp.so.10.3.2 onto the laptop.
I'm not sure if the numbers are the same as yours.
