Frank, Yes, if I send a email to someone else not on the network it works. Same with all of the other computers on the network. I only have one email address on each computer, so I don't think it would be a connection issue because the problem exists with all of the computers on the network. I've not tried to retrieve the emails from another access point. I've talked to Verizon and they said that there seems to be no issues with the account. They seemed to think it could be a outlook problem. I then went into my email account settings and nothing seems to be wrong there either. Your right, very troublesome.

What happens if you send an email from your desktop to another address not on your network, is that successful? Also have you tried sending email from your desktop using another email account to determine if the problem is with the email account you are using or with a connection problem on your desktop? Since two of the computers on the network are laptops (portable) have you tried to send an email from your desktop and then connect from another network (access point) and see if you can pick up the email? The fact that you cannot even email yourself is troublesome. That could even indicate a hold on your account with your ISP, but I would determine if it is only that one email address that has the issue or others before going down that road. They all have different email addresses. Believe me, I'm completely stumped. Thanks for trying. The reason for this is that a long time ago spammers used to try to sneak spam through to people's computers by spoofing the sending address to make it look like the email was coming from yourself. For example I would see an email from frank ventura in my inbox trying to sell me something but I didn't send it. That was a spoofed email. This is the reason some spam filters will flag mail whose sender appears to be your own email address as spam. I'm able to email on each computer out of the network, but when i go to email my self or my girls computer it doesn't work. And what is even weirder, i can go to my sent folder in outlook, and the email that i sent myself will be there, but i will never receive the message in my inbox. I'm running windows XP, Outlook 2003, and the free version of Avast. I also did the service pack 3 update. I'm really at a loss here. Can anyone suggest how to go about resolving this issue?
