Hi Roger, I would take some time to verify that and not take it at face value since some ISPs are notorious for doing some weird things if they see multiple MAC addresses in use at the same time on a residential account. But, just try getting them to admit to it. Anyway there is a simple test you can do to see if the issue is with Verizon's servers. Set up an account on one of your computers that is not using one of Verizon's servers (yahoo, google, aol, Comcast, etc) and try email another computer on your network. For instance, create two email accounts like [EMAIL PROTECTED] on one computer and another, [EMAIL PROTECTED] and try emailing between them. If it is successful, then the issue lies with Verizon's servers. Even though they are pointing towards Outlook, the only thing in Outlook that would cause this would be the spam filters but you checked those. Actually there is one other thing that would cause this behavior but it really is a long shot. An antivirus program that also scans email may incorrectly assume that an email with appears to originate from your own IP address has forged headers and is thus a spam email. Also the test for this is quite simple, disable the antivirus software and try sending email. Like I said, that last possibility is a real longshot but since it is an easy thing to rule out it is worth a look. Since you have four licenses of Outlook, you could open up a ticket with Microsoft; but don't be to surprised if they tell you they think the issue is with your ISP or email server. Frank

Same with all of the other computers on the network. I only have one email address on each computer, so I don't think it would be a connection issue because the problem exists with all of the computers on the network. I've not tried to retrieve the emails from another access point. I've talked to Verizon and they said that there seems to be no issues with the account. They seemed to think it could be a outlook problem. I then went into my email account settings and nothing seems to be wrong there either. Your right, very troublesome. What happens if you send an email from your desktop to another address not on your network, is that successful? Also have you tried sending email from your desktop using another email account to determine if the problem is with the email account you are using or with a connection problem on your desktop? Since two of the computers on the network are laptops (portable) have you tried to send an email from your desktop and then connect from another network (access point) and see if you can pick up the email? The fact that you cannot even email yourself is troublesome. That could even indicate a hold on your account with your ISP, but I would determine if it is only that one email address that has the issue or others before going down that road. They all have different email addresses. Believe me, I'm completely stumped. Thanks for trying. The reason for this is that a long time ago spammers used to try to sneak spam through to people's computers by spoofing the sending address to make it look like the email was coming from yourself. For example I would see an email from frank ventura in my inbox trying to sell me something but I didn't send it. That was a spoofed email. This is the reason some spam filters will flag mail whose sender appears to be your own email address as spam. I'm able to email on each computer out of the network, but when i go to email my self or my girls computer it doesn't work. And what is even weirder, i can go to my sent folder in outlook, and the email that i sent myself will be there, but i will never receive the message in my inbox. I'm running windows XP, Outlook 2003, and the free version of Avast. I also did the service pack 3 update. I'm really at a loss here. Can anyone suggest how to go about resolving this issue?
