Hi Cathy & Mike: Yes going back to JAWS8 allowed "ctrl+alt+w" to work repeatedly. The garbage in doc2-exc still happened. I didn't uninstall "word web" but I did change the short cut key to"m" and brought up JAWS9 again, but again word would not come up after the first time with that key either. George R.
