I think you are confusing a workbook with worksheets . . In my Excel 2003 at least pressing control plus N creates a new workbook. By default each workbook will have 3 worksheet . These are laid out in a tabbed format at the bottom of the Excel workbook. As you say pressing control page up and page down will navigate between these different worksheets in any workbook.
