I did notice the differences hearing Jaws say workbook and then worksheet,
guess I never payed attention...
I prefer the control N and especially since what I use it for needs to have
it's own workbook rather than extra worksheets within a workbook.
Thanks for your help.

Patricia,
Ctrl+N does open up a new worksheet which you would have to save with a
file name. It is a completely separate file. you will notice that Jaws
will stay something like Book2 if you already have a worksheet open.
Ctrl+PageDown opens up a second worksheet (the next one) within the
current file. Likewise, Ctrl+PageUp will move back to the previous
worksheet within the same file. The maximum number of worksheets within
one file is three. You can go and add more worksheets. Go to Alt+I and hit
the letter W and a fourth worksheet will be available.
I hope that I answers your question?

I have a question on what's the difference if any while in Excel to make a
new sheet, old habits hard to change in keystrokes that is...
I have always pressed, control N while in an existing worksheet to create
a new one and, reading over the keystrokes, I found that pressing control
page down does the same thing.
So is there a reason for 2 such keystrokes or is it just a matter of
prefference?
I sure do love this Excel 2003 it does automatically what I had to select
to do in version 2000.
