Okay, thanks. I did get this computer from my state organization for the blind
and visually impaired. They probably did get me a cheap crapper. The USB ports
on the back are in two rows and I have a feeling there could be a couple ports
that are hidden on the back like you mentioned since one row has fewer ports
showing than the other. Those are likely disabled because the two front USB
ports on this computer do work.
Anyway, my main objective is to have a way to plug headphones into the computer
while working on medical transcription work. So, I guess I wouldn't be too
picky. I'd either just need a pair of headphones with an extra long chord , or
I would need a set of speakers with a headphone jack or something. Is there
such a thing as speakers with headphone output as an option? How about
headphones with extra long chords? I don't know that I've personally
encountered either one but perhaps someone else here knows?
If not, I will have someone take a look at the computer and see what they can
detect in those settings that you suggested.
