What have you all tried to get it recognised?

Sometimes I take my USB cables out, and tap them on the desk a bit, or else at least try unplugging/plugging them in/out a few times since I'm pretty sure they do sometimes obtain a bit of atmospheric wear and tear, but this might not be relevant at all.

Have you tried other USB devices in the same port, or the external drive connected to any other computers?

Stay well

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Computer suddenly doesn't recognize USB port ordevice

I have an external hard drive with music on it. I accessed it yesterday from this computer, but no matter what I do, it will not recognize it today. How do I get the computer to recognize it? It's a USB device.

TIA,
Nance
