Sorry, I'm clueless on how to remove a virus from the Control Panel.

Now I have some bad news. The old problem I had seems to have came back.
It is probably because I still part of the problem in my Control Panel.
Is
there anyway I can delete the other portion of the virus from the Control
Panel?

Glad to hear that Revo finally removed that stubborn program. It sure
comes in handy.

Thanks a lot Gerald. It might still show up in the Control Pad, but I
know
it worked. This is because the annoying pop up that the computer kept
showing upon Shut Down is gone. The Revo Uninstaller must have removed
its
content which was some kind of virus. On Revo's list of programs it does
not show up. Thank God because I run my Restore about 3 or 4 different
times with different settings. I had a strong feeling that the program
was
the problem.

Rogelio,
Have you tried a third-party uninstaller utility like Revo Uninstaller to
remove this program? I use Revo all the time now instead of Control
Panel
Add/Remove Programs because it performs a more complete uninstallation.
Even if you can't remove E-Backup the normal way, Revo may do the trick
by
removing leftover traces. It's free and worth a try:

The program is E-Backup. The one showing in my Control Pad is version
1.42.
I can't download that particular version off the internet. Only the one
on
the Blind-Computing web site which is an older version. I tried to
install
that version and it wouldn't let me.

I'm not sure that an old version can prevent form downloading the same
or
newer. If the program starts with windows, you can disable it using
msconfig
and try again.
What is this program. Just curious.

Well, the first thought is a virus, but I'm sure you've already ran
scans?
Have you tried having someone send you the file rather than
downloading it yourself?
