The only real way to tell if a window is actually maximised already is to hit the alt key + the space bar to open the system menu.
Then if you arrow down and the maximise item is unavailable, then it's already maximised. Perhaps this would explain some issues I have had. Several people on this list and the Jaws Users list have had issues with the Autosizer program, including David Ferrin if I am not mistaken. I am not trying to bash the program but, I am stating what has happened. All you have to do is uninstall the program and reinstall it. In my personal experience I have only had trouble with the updated versions beyond version 1.6 and so I leave the box unchecked for the program to update automatically. Below is a direct download link for the 1.6 version. Also Jacob, could you explain to me how you were able to change the sound Autosizer makes when it maximizes a window? My sound doesn't work whether that box is checked or not. http://www.jaws-users.com/programs/Utilities/AutoSizer1.6.html I hope this helps you with your focus issues. Take care.
