Dear Marilyn You do need to hold down all 3 keys together simultaneously. I put the little finger of my right hand on the insert key . Then the pointing finger of my right hand on the right window key . If your finger does not reach the right window key you need to use your right thumb. I then use my left hand to press down the x.
If you do not have a right window key then you will need to use 2 little fingers on the insert and left window key with your left pointing finger reaching out to press the X.
