This is a perfectly legitimate question given how difficult it is for blind
customers to navigate Amazon.com's web site. Their customer service number
is: 800-201-7575. But I don't know if they will provide specific product
information over the phone. If you're looking to buy a new PC, you might be
better off ordering it from Newegg.com. They usually have better prices
than Amazon, and invite inquiries from visually-impaired customers on their
toll-free support line: 800-390-1119. Also, Newegg's web site is much
easier to navigate than Amazon's, and they specialize in computers and
electronics. I have purchased an external hard drive and flash drive from
them, and have been very satisfied with their service. So before you order
from Amazon, check out Newegg:

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Strangest question of the day,but I'll take a
chance and ask it anyway.
Good afternoon to everyone on both lists here. As some of you know from
my posts too the two lists here, I am interested in purchasing either an
Acer netbook, or a Asus one. From those of you that have had the
experience of ordering any of these from or through amazon's customer
service representative, is there a specialized department within that
one, that deals with customers with disabilities who will be able too
answer specific questions that customers like myself would need to have
answered concerning specs, such as how many gigs, how much rom or ram
well you know what I mean. If so, Could someone on either of these
lists, please email there direct customer service representative phone
number with area code please? thanks in advance,
Al
