Make sure that all the software you plan to use on your system will support 64 bit. 64 bit is recommended for computers with 4 gigs of ram and up. Also make sure that all devices like maybe your scanners printers etc. support 64 bit and drivers are readily available or drivers will be ainstalled by the O S as you cannot use third party uncertified drivers anymore like in the past, to my knowledge.
