i think imay have figured out what happened. for some reason the folder
options kind of changed.
go into a folder then from there into extra and there arrow down to folder
options.
once there there is something that says search folders, with two options to
choose from.
one is, open every folder in the same window, the other is, open every
folder in its own window, which is the setting you want to mark.
see if that solves your problem.
for the other to get more info set your folder view options to detailed.

I am using jaws 10; I have messed up something in that I can't open but
one window at a time; for example, when in my documents if I open my
music, my documents closes. Also, jaws is not telling me all the
information I need to know about a file; I want to know if a file is a zip
file but jaws says nothing at all about the file. Any help will be
appreciated.
