Hi Rogelio.

Thank you for providing us asus netbook users with this very comprehensive report of the problem that you had the misfortune too experience. Here's the model of the asus netbook that I purchased. It is, Asus e e e Pc 1005 ha, with expandible memory. Is this the model that you are having trouble with? Please, if you would, let me know if this particular model is the one that your refering too, so that if have too return it, I will before I leave too visit my Mother and sister next week in Michigan. Believe me, I very much appreciate any and all of the help and advice and suggestions that you can give me when it comes too resolving any possible future problems that I might encounter with this particular model of netbook from Asus. This is what happens when there is poor quality control on the part of the company. More often then not, companies are far too willing too push there products on the market, without making sure that the quality of the merchandise that there selling is of good quality and of a hirer standard. Maybe if businesses cared less about making high profits, and more about quality rather then quantity, they'd have mor of a satisfied customer. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rogelio Terrazas" <[email protected]>

This is what happens. You'll be on line or something. And the audio just
totally stops. Your computer crashes. When you try to restart it re-starts and it works well for a sighted person. But there is n0o Audio. Yesterday my oldest daughter spent about 3 hours on the phone with them. I am the one that figured out an easier resolution. They said run a System Recovery. I
ran a completed System Restore. After that it asked me to insert the
Recovery disks for the Audio files. And this is after my daughter went on
line with their technicians and got those drivers. Those don't work
correctly with it. You need the ones from the disk. When you are
re-installing them from the disks, a pop up comes up telling you about an
incompatibility and if you continue this will re-occur in the future. I
still continued anyway. It made my computer work again. So I called the
manufacturer and told them about it. They said they were aware of it and
there was nothing you or they can do about it. So this morning the same
thing happened all over again. If I want it to work correctly I have to
Do the same thing all over again. It requires sighted assistance and I am
not trying to do this over and over every other day. It is hard enough for some of us blind people to get sighted assistance. So I am returning it to Best Buy in a little while. I am getting a Toshiba with the same specs for $349.99. They also offer the option to upgrade to 2GB of RAM. HP could not
offer me that option. This is why I am going with Toshiba.

Hello Rogelio.
SinceI just received my asus netbook on Wednesday, could you tell us what
the problem with the audio is and what happens with it when you either play
something? and; why didn't they test this out before they released the
product outto the public. Is the other computer that you are going to
purchase, have the same keyboard configuration as the asus had? Thanks for
informing us of this situation.
