Judging by your description it would seem like ZoneAlarm is blocking broadcast traffic. Zonealarm can be tricky to configure. Try completely disabling Zonealarm and see if you can get it working like that. If it works with Zonealarm disabled then you know it is a Zonealarm configuration issue. Frank Ventura

Computer #1 uses zone alarm free addition for the firewall and Avast for the anti virus. Computer #2 only uses the Windows firewall and I'm not sure what is being used for the anti-virus. It is my wife's computer - and does not have JAWS installed on it because it caused some conflicts with some programs she uses - so I'll have to ask her when she gets home. I do know however that it is not MacAfee as we both can't stand that product. I did make sure the network name is exactly the same and the computer descriptions are different. I've tried everything I can think of but can't figure it out. Since computer #2 is being connected wirelessly, could there be some kind of setting in the wireless connection that would not allow it to see computer #1 while allowing computer #1 to see files on computer #2? I'm pulling my hair out on this one and at the rate it's going, I should be bald in about 2 days.
