After thinking about the problems that I had with trying to uninstall Avast from the one computer that gave me a lot of trouble, I had the problems because I tried using the program Revo uninstaller. Revo is an excellent program, but for some reason there were problems this particular time. I have never had a problem with Revo , except for this one time. Anyway, once that I used Add/Remove in the control panel the uninstall went smoothly. Take care.
