Hi Stanley, If I remember correctly, I think I had to go into places like my name folder on the " C " drive in documents & settings to delete Avast folders out of different folders there. I think you might also need to go into the All Users folders folder as well as program files on the " C " drive. In short Add/Remove leaves a lot of crap in various places on the computer that you have to delete manually. It's finding where all the crap is hidden that can be a pain in the posterior! Avast is also stored in folders by another name that I don't recall, but hopefully someone does know and will post to the list. Hope this helps. Take care. Hey, thanks a lot for the additional info. Yes indeed, Revo is just super. It does what Add/Remove Programs doesn't do and does a much better job of it. Oh yeah, I remember using Add/Remove Programs to remove Avast from my system, but after I restarted the computer Avast was still in the system tray, which is what happened this time.
