The bad thing is it's a Gateway and they went out of business The weird thing is I downloaded a file on to a device and when it finished downloading it told me do I want to copy the drive I was using, it makes no sense. Is this what I am looking for: and is there any thing I can do?

If desktop, then where are the USB ports located? You can get USB port cards for desktops, and most likely have USB ports replaced on some laptops, but really depends on hardware etc., and you will most likely need to find a local technician type person to look into it, confirm, and try sort it out for you. This is all if some of the ports still work fine, since if all of them are doing it, it might be an operating system issue.
