Hi John,
Well, if I could load JAWS temporarily on to the computer. I could plug
in my large USB hard drive and simply copy and paste the entire contents of
the computers small hard drive on to my portable hard drive. Then I could
copy the contents from the portable USB drive to a DVD rom and give that to
my sister who owns the computer. She now has a new laptop computer and
really would prefer to import her data to it. Then to revive the older
desktop computer.
God bless,
Mark

Mark, I'm not sure I understand your point. Of course, you can easily
load any version of Jaws for a 40 minute trial mode. How does this issue
reflect retrieving data from a Windows 98 machine?

Hi
I wish there was a way to install a forty minute JAWS demo.

The problem would be that to access it's data externally, via something
like a network cable etc. you'd need to allow this to happen by sharing
paths etc., so to be honest, simplest would be to take the hard drive
out and mount it in either another machine, or an external hard drive
housing etc., or you could maybe have the video card replaced with
something simple/cheap, etc.
Pity, in this case that there's no built in narrator for windows 98.
Stay well

Hi
My sister's windows 1998 computer has a bad video card. She would
like to have the data from her hard drive. It seems to me that there
should be some way to retrieve the data but I don't know how. I would
appreciate any insights people may have on this subject.
Thank you in advance.
God bless,
Mark
