Hi Cliff;

If you are you running XP, do the following.
1. When you get to the place where you need to put the, £ , sign, press 
Insert / Jaws key + 4, on the number row above the main keyboard.  This 
opens up a list of symbols.
2. For the pound sign after you opened the symbols list, press the letter P, 
until you land on the, £ , sign, & press enter.  When you press enter it 
inserts the,  £, sign at the spot you are at in the document.  Or, you can 
type the, £ , sign somewhere, copy it, & paste it anywhere you need it.
