Yes, I know that but I did forget the alt key. Do you know, there are lots
of different signs and other symbols can be replicated this way.

Hi Francis;
In order to get the, £ , sign using the number pad, you have to hold down
the, Alt key, then while holding down the, Alt key press156 on the number
pad with num pad lock on. I'm sure that you know this, but, just thought I
would throw in the Alt key note for those that do not. Take care.

There are two ways to do this. The easiest one is to press the insert key
and the 4 on the keyboard and use the down arrow key until you hear the
pound sign and press the enter key. The other way is to press the numlock
key and type 156 using the keypad on the computer.
