I normally run my backups at the end of the day before turning in. What I do is start them out and when Replicator is finish the batch file shuts the system down. The other manner you could accomplish this task is to make a good guess as to when the job in question will be finished and set the system to shut itself down at or slightly after that time. I am coping some large files to an external drive. I do not want to wait until it is done for me to shut down, would like it to be automatic. I never leave without shutting down. A few years ago I was at my daughter’s home. We were all outside and there was a loud explosion. When we got into the home we found that the computer’s power supply exploded. At least there was no fire but what an ugly sound and smell.
