Is there any way to have the system shut down after a particular task is
completed? I am coping some large files to an external drive. I do not want to
wait until it is done for me to shut down, would like it to be automatic. I
never leave without shutting down. A few years ago I was at my daughter’s home.
We were all outside and there was a loud explosion. When we got into the home
we found that the computer’s power supply exploded. At least there was no fire
but what an ugly sound and smell. Just checked the copy has 28 minutes
remaining.
