Hi,

So it looks like something hasn’t quite worked right and the game isn’t
allowing people to upgrade for free. Jason Alan has been emailed via the
entombed mailing list asking him to take a look, but since it’s still in the
holidays and in his email he said he was away , we may not all get an immediate
fix to this, but as soon as we hear back from Jason on the entombed mailing
list I will post an update here. Sorry for all those wanting to download the
full version, I’m sure as soon as Jason picks up the messages from the mailing
list and is able to put the fix in he will , I know it’s a pain waiting for
those who haven’t played the full game yet , but I’ve had the full version
since it came out and it’s still one of my favourite audio games, so worth that
little longer waiting for the fix so you can all play for free.

Paul

If the game is free, then why do they keep asking for money

Hi Eleanore,

I get your point completely. From your point of view it is completely
justifiable, and thanks for keeping the games up. Allow me to take this
occasion to congratulate you on your Inspector Cyndi series! It is something
totally original! Also, thanks for understanding my point of view.

Best,

          Miloš

Milos,

The reason that 7-128 Software has made all its computer games available for no
cost is that it was costing us so much to keep our direct sales going that we
had no funds available for any new development. We are currently working on
mobile games that will sell through the App stores and not cost us directly.
We could have just pulled our games from our website and not made them
available to the blind community, but opted to keep them available for those
who could not afford them previously but wanted to try them. I do understand
the concerns you expressed in your post, but making even the simplest game
costs money. In order to continue in business, one has to make enough to cover
your costs, even if you don't pay yourself a salary, which we don't. That was
just not happening so we had to find a way to be able to keep making games or
close up our company. We chose NOT to close the company, but to try to find a
way to continue to make accessible games.

Hi all, sincerely I would not like this, and I will explain why, risking being
linched by the community.

I baught 3d vilocity and it went free after some time. I baught Entombed and it
is also apparently free. I also baught Misissipi and I think anyone can play it
legaly. Some time ago, people baught Tarzan Junior, for, Inspector Cyndi
series, and some other games. Now is it fair that someone pays and someone else
has it for free after some time? For example, I was excited yesterday when I
found out that the Inspector Cyndi series was free. But on the other hand, I
know that somebody else paid for it and has the same as I do have now. Does the
money lose its value just because the time passes? Not sure. Or is it worth
waiting because, sooner or later, everything will go free? Since Tom and Jim
are no more, the Windows audiogame community is slowly but surely getting
Balcanized, as Barack Obama put it today in an interview. Speaking of which, I
must remember a time when Charles was saying that I was promoting piracy on the
Audissey list. I didn't do that, but the developers themselves do just that by
being unfair to those who paid.

Best,

          Miloš

So does this mean I get to create an account now to go in to the shops?

Hi,,

Just received the below email from the entombed mailing list from Jason alan
who made entombed, I still think this is a great audio game and thought I’d
share the email/news from Jason with everyone:

Hi everyone!

Sorry for being absent for so long. I'm essentially a slave to my job, hah.
I've had a lot of success over the past few years making casual games for
mobile players (unfortunately, these haven't been accessible) but I haven't had
a break out hit where I could dedicate some time for other games. I'm currently
in the United States away from my development environment in Australia so it's
possible I messed this up, but you should be able to log in to your account and
have full access if you didn't have it before. If you create a new account,
that should be automatically upgraded. I also reset all the scores, so
hopefully that is working again too.

The server I've been running this on is extremely expensive compared to the
ones I use today for my games so I'll eventually migrate it over. Maybe with a
new release if I can manage it.

Every time I get some spare holiday time, I try to dedicate some time to
accessible game development and I have made some cool stuff - sadly, none of it
release-worthy yet.

For anyone who has had issues purchasing or delay in communication, I
apologize. Due to the legacy nature of the game, I try to queue up a lot of
fixes at the same time.

Cheers!
Jason
