Hi,

As I mentioned its been a while since I played so I'm a little hazy on the
exact mechanics and can't remember what happens regarding upgrades, , the
little I remember is below, but again spoilers ahead:

Spoilers below
So I think when you die if I remember there are certain things you keep, its
not a lot, but I think for example you keep the knife from the tannery, I
could be wrong but I also think your fists level up after you die making you
stronger too, but don't be disheartened if you die, everyone does to start
with it's a mechanic of the game and is unavoidable to start with, but I
think also more map space is shown each time you die too.

I start out with the same equipment after dying with no upgrades. Once I
cleared the tannery and got upgrades then died after those upgrades and none
of those upgrades were available in the next life.
