You should be able to remap the keys to anything you want using the keyconfig file.
Hi, thanks to the recent discussion of Swamp I downloaded the game over the weekend to give it a try. I'm having a rather odd problem. One particular keyboard command doesn't work for me at all. This is the command to activate the beacon for the safe zone. In the manual it says '"Shift+`": Tracks the first beacon, usually the Safe Zone (more about this building later on)' This is the key to the left of the 1 key. When I press that combination nothing happens. The Keyconfig.ini file describes that command as being made up of the ~+ keys. The plus here refers to the shift key.
When I press shift plus the key to the left of the 1 key I get (¬) Jaws reports optional hyphen. As I am in the UK I use the UK keyboard layout. When I switch to the US keyboard layout shift plus the key to the left of 1 does enter the ~ command and correctly activates the beacon for the safe zone in Swamp. Using the UK keyboard tilde is gained by pressing the shift key with the number key (located to the lower left side of the enter key). But that key combination doesn't activate the beacon in the game. Has anyone else experienced this issue? As far as I can tell all the other shortcut keys work fine. I've replicated it on both my desktop running Windows10 and Jaws2020 (although I haven't attempted to change the keyboard from UK to US here) and on a laptop running Windows7 with Jaws2019 (where I did change the keyboard input to US). Other than switching to the US keyboard is there a solution? Thanks Yusuf
