Hi, The game seems to save the file when it closes, so make your edits, close the game, then save the file.
In case it's of interest (I'm using a UK keyboard layout too), I've attached my key file. In the interests of transparency, big thanks to Kai for telling me about his key config, which is what mine is based on. You can track the safe zone with shift and home, and equip your medkit with home. I appreciate that my layout is quite specific: I'm using SharpKeys <https://www.randyrants.com/category/sharpkeys/> to make the three keys to the right of my spacebar home, end, and forward delete.
