Hi,
My two cents.
FS real WX weather program is not accurate. If you're flying on ATC this is a
huge deal and *will* make a difference when landing.
Make sure your machine can handle p3dv5. Even on the lowest graphics settings
this will matter.
Note that almost all callouts are nonexistent with p3d, unless you use tfm's
callouts, unless someone has been able to find 64 bit callout gages.
Note the fuel and payload manager can be a bit more interesting - it is
useable, but it is worth noting, specially if you enjoy having realistic
payloads.
At the end of the day, if fsx is working for someone, there is no need to
switch. P3d doesn't add a lot for us in regards to audio and most certainly
doesn't add a thing for accessibility. I like fsx because I can navigate the
menus while in the simulator. With fs sound stream which literally costs less
than a monthly Netflix subscription, I can have the same as p3d for $60 less.
Yes, I paid for p3d version 5. I regret it, at least until more uses for it
come around.

FSTramp will work with both, GSX will work with both, I use FS-Real-WX
because it's more accessible than active sky and it's cheaper, and
doesn't require multiple purchases.
