Yes there was the agrip project and audioquake.
But like a lot of projects it never took off really.
For a while there were a few deathmatch style mods but really I don't
think we really could play it right I never really played it as such.
Doom?
Well shades of doom is similar to the doom game to a point.
Now admittedly the first unmodded game gave you a standard 44 magnum for
all rifles, a disrupter which was some trek torpedo launcher and a laser
pistol which well was interesting.
The mods by locutus one of which made it into the game had you with a
laser rifle which I think came from one of the quake monsters maybe it
was some sort of nail gun or was it a silenced laser or othher rifle and
a blaster.
There was another mod which never got released to sod v2 which started
you with some sort of multi switchable dart rifle at least that is what
it sounded like, a laser blaster and a heavy laser rifle.
You also in place of the biogrenades had some sort of mini rocket deals
but it never got released and while I have it you need sod 1 to use it.
However its worth noting that mod did actually have a biohazzard
containment breach, the toilets were containment walls you could turn
off startrek transporters.
