Hi Che, My company Personal Computer Systems put out a Monopoly game and a Pacman game back in 1997 and 1998. We contacted the appropriate companies for obtaining the rites but did not hear from them. News of them has been on the internet for almost ten years and I have gotten no request to remove them. I think the same goes for David Greenwood and his Star Trek game which started as a PCS game collaboration back in 1999, and before he started GMA games. I suspect that even if Hasbro or Parker brothers knew of blind game companies using their copyright, they would not prosecute due to the bad publicity it would cause them to get. Right now I am working on a Harry Potter game. I use the castle and a few of the minor characters but do not use Harry in the game. When the game is finished I intend to contact J.K. Rowling and if she objects, I can easily take the copyrighted elements out of the game.
