another way is theese electric mouse repellers they have. i have seen them from $5 to $20 just plug them into an out let and they sit there doing there thing. they emit this verry light clicking sound that you can only hear if you are with in about 6 inches of the thing. but it drives mice nuts so they leave. i have 4 of them in different parts of the house. before getting them i had to do in about10 to 15 mice every couple months. now i hardly get one a year.
