Hi, Rob, The clickrule is great for quickie measurements as it clicks every 16th inch. The rotorule, however has a square nut and a lock nut so you have accurate resolution to at least 1/64th inch; better if you have a good sense of when the nut is truly diagonal to the flat surface used as a reference. It's slower, but if you're measuring the positions of holes to be punched and drilled, this is far better.
