You should be able to install them just fine all by yourself my friend. There are a couple of different types of gutter guards to consider. I personally like the down spout guards that simply sit right in where the down spout connects to the cross peace. Other folks like the kind that look like a long flat narrow mesh kind of a deal. They are a bit of a pain to slide under all of those spines or what ever they're called to hold them in place, but it is possible. If you put those in I suggest doing a complete job of it so not too many leaves get underneath them and still cause you some trouble. I've about had it cleaning out the gutters. I have to clean the ones in the front of the house at least twice a year. The others don't need to be clean but every couple of years since they're on the second story of the house above the trees that I do have. My question is; can these gutter guards be installed by a totally blind person? The price won't be an issue. I probably have a stretch of about 40 feet across the front of the house on the lower level above the garage, and front porch that need to have some kind of protection against the leaves from a Birch tree.
