Wow! We used to rent power augors, but they had a power unit consisting of an engine and gears connected to the augor chuck by a flexible shaft. I think they had an eight inch augor though, so maybe a 12 is too big for that kind of arrangement. These were fairly easy to use, because they were light by comparison to what Dan had to deal with.
