.Removing the stopper is no problem. If you reach under and behind the Trap 
.you will find a rod that runs through a large nut and into the trap. You in 
.many cases can turn the nut off with no tools. Have a bucket under it and 
.when it's lose reach back and you will find a metal strap coming down from 
.the pull rod and this strap will have several holes in it. Down by the rod 
.you will find a spring clip so just pinch it and you now can slide the rod 
.back and out , now lift out the plug and now tread the large nut back on and 
.your ready for your drain cleaner. I've found a product that really works 
.and it's called CLR Power Plumber . It's a pressurized can of stuff and yes 
.it truly does the job. I found this product at Ace Hardware.
