Thinking more about that project I think that the only thing that will work is something on the dog like a bell or child finder or key finder. Unless the dog is sitting in one place trying to locate with a radio beacon locater would be nearly impossible. To you got a fix on the pooch he would probably move to another location. I still like the bell because you do not have the risk of the dog getting out of range. Even the lock remote for my van only has about a 30 foot range. I have a wireless doorbell that has a 100 foot range. ----- Original Message ----- From: "cheetah" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, November 26, 2007 5:22 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] radio direction finding project
hi dan a loop will not work as it receives in 2 directions front and back. they would have to guess where the dog is. jim At 09:15 AM 11/26/2007, you wrote: >I know very little about this radio stuff, but what about using a loop >antenna for direction finding.
