One could ground to a water pipe, but my next door neighbor who is an electrician, said that one time he started to remove a pipe and he got shocked because they had used it for a ground. In our town, a man who was mowing his lawn, got tired of having to go around the ground rod, so he thought he would remove it. He went immediately to heaven. ---Anthony
