Dale - what are Japanese saws? David
-----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dale Leavens Sent: 28 December 2007 00:13 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] new tools I got a couple of tools for Christmas, a pair of Japanese saws, I used one already, a rather spectacular little hand saw. I also got a ratcheting hand pruner, a rather fine plumb bob and a rather good sliding bevel. It uses a thumb clamp to lock in the angle so you can operate it with one hand and it presses flat so you don't have a wing nut in the way. I also got an earmuff style electronic hearing protection. When the sound is below a certain level a microphone activates so you can hear, there is a volume control. When a sudden noise happens or the background is beyond a certain level it shuts down. Otherwise I bought myself the Wayfinder Navigator GPS software for my cell phone and a Holux GPS receiver. Trouble is there isn't hardly any information for this area. So far I haven't figured out much but I haven't had much time. I also bought a Cirius satellite receiver which I am also figuring out.
