You know that is very interesting. I think in some ways, maybe the  
cutting should be done on the pull stroke. I imagine the thinking on  
the push is do to the fact you can put more into the push. Maybe a  
push-pull cutting stroke would be the way to go. Do they make such a  
handsaw? Don't recall ever encountering one of these.
