On a US receptacle. You will find on both sides are four screws, in pairs, and four holes on back to match the screws. If you use the holes, bare 1/4 of wire and push it into hole. If using screws on side bare 1/2, and make a u shape, to grab around the screws. The ground screw will be on bottom edge. You might have one at each end or just the one. hook up the ground and if using holes. Pick the ones across from each other. The other pair are to add another plug or switch or to string off of for another box. Pull the one that is bad off and you should see that same as above directions.
