Ah! I thought it must be something like that. I don't remember much about 
things like colour, I was pretty young back then and I expect the switch might 
have been coloured anyway. I hadn't been aware of another since, rather thought 
they had disappeared completely.

I salvaged one interesting ancient switch from this old house, it has two push 
buttons, one for on and the other for off. It was among the switches I had to 
replace for that four way system, I put it into one of the new bedrooms to 
operate the florescent tube in the closet. While they may have been common at 
one time, this is the only one I have ever seen and the only one left in this 
old house when I acquired it.
