OK Spiro, I'll check that out, it sounds like it might be the ticket. I just inherited one of those two-piece recliner sets where the chair is sort of on a glider type mechanism and there's a kind of otamin (sp) with the same mechanism. This was originally in the living room but my wife relegated it to my basement domain.
It has a squeak too, and I used WD40 on all the contact points and sprockets or whatever you'd call them, and it's better, but it's not quiet by any means.
