We have had both an Oreck Upright and a cannister vac, and we do love them.
I was able to use the upright vac, while I was pregnant, with my son, and nine
months into the pregnancy, without any problems!

They're an awesome buy; we've had ours for about 6 years now, and they're still
going tstrong!

I had an Oreck at one time, this was probably about 15 years ago. The
only thing I did not like about it is the fact that it could not
handle large amounts of dog hair. Well lets just say that 3 German
Shepherds despite a great deal of grooming still leave hair piles in
various places. So, I am curious how they've changed. Of course I also
like the machines that do not use bags, but this is just my preference.
