Lee I find it unlikely that a scanner would produce such interference on one frequency It's much more likely that there is some outside source of the junk. Try moving the scanner to different locations and see if you get more or less "quieting" when the carrier is on. If that happens you'll have to look around for the source of noise. Could be anything electronic at all, a light ballast, or anything that plugs in. Tom Fowle
