Hi Lee, Years ago I had both brands of scanners. The regency had a greater sensitivity. I had to tighten down the squelch to eliminate that problem. Later my neighbor purchased a new scanner and it caused so much interference in the regency that I had to move it to the other end of the house. I also had one hand held amateur radio that would actually hear itself on one frequency. I could not use our clubs repeater with that radio.
